earthLINGZs Hybrid AI2 cloth diaper

Recently, I was sent this completely adorable cloth diaper to review from earthLINGZs. I also want to point out that I have NEVER tried a diaper with a fold down rise. To top that off, I have never tried a diaper with 2 layers of  plush poly fleece! It looked so squishy! I was in love...

They look so cushy and are known to stay dry for hours.

I'm pretty sure that this is the squishiest diaper that I've ever touched. Ok, lets "try" to get past the cuteness and squishyness for a moment.. Such a pretty paisley print.

There are three wing snaps.
I always have issues with diapers without hip snaps. Oh well.

The stretch of the the earthLINGZs diaper is amazing. It makes up for the lack of hip snaps by getting a really great fit. It is almost the same as having a hybrid diaper made with knit fabric. The stretch is nice.

If you really want a breathable diaper to go out and about in, then this is the diaper for you.  If you have a heavy wetter, as I do, this diaper will work for you. While the breathable fleece shells are naturally water resistant, they are not 100% waterproof. Even though it is adorable, you may need to use a cover. Especially for nighttime or if you are out and about.

earthLINGZ are made from organic hemp so not only is it soft to the touch but it’s safe against your baby’s skin.

The diaper is made up of 2 different parts.

  • The outer shell which is made of two layers of naturally water resistant poly fleece.
  •  The EZ 3 Soaker System.  Two separate double layered hemp fleece soakers can be snapped together with color coordinated snaps.
  • Then, an absorbent hemp fleece lines the underside of the moisture wicking polyester fleece topper.  Used all together, there are 5 thick layers of hemp fleece absorbent protection.

All of these layers make these diapers extremely absorbent.  The fleece topper is even made with the same print that the diaper is so they match!  You can adjust the inserts to fit your needs.  Simply remove the bottom insert and snap the top one into the shell.

What is a Fold down rise?

There are 2 rows of sockets facing different directions.  If you can just fold over the top of the diaper to have two different rise settings for the diaper.

The shell of the diaper features a fold down rise, something I have only seen in one other diaper, and had never had the chance to try out before.  With the rise folded down, it will fit approximately 10 - 15 pounds.

One of my favorite parts of this diaper is that it can be machine washed and dried. I do own fitteds, and I am scared to wash them with my other diapers. I just don't want them to fade. This isn't really a worry with this diaper. Although, I do only tumble dry. It can take a while. But It is worth it to keep your diapers looking new.

A Note from Terra if you are considering buying:: **For every diaper sold, we will be donating $1 to Feeding Children Everywhere. $1 provides four nutritious meals to a starving child in need.**

I cannot express how much I am in love with this hybrid AI2 diaper! It is so amazing. The fold down rise is awesome, it is so squishy, and it is a great fit. We didn't really have much leaks with it either! That is obviously without a cover. When you have such a cute diaper, you deal with that. haha. I'm just in awe. I think I have a problem.

We used this diaper with just an extra bamboo trifold for nighttime. Obviously, she was soaked. BUT the diaper shell felt so dry! The fleece liner that is close to the skin wasn't even damp! Amazing! If you do not own one of these you need to buy one now! This diaper is perfect for nighttime. So buy two to alternate. You cannot go wrong.

Don't forget that we will be giving away a really adorable diaper on June 12! So Mark those calendars.

  1. It is so cute and I love that it is stretchy

  2. WOW - can I just say that cloth diapers have come a long way. I often wondered why people thought they were great, and we used them for a while - but just some pee and she had to have a new one. I love the absorbancy of the diaper and the inserts. It looks comfortable, too, thanks for the review!

    1. Sometimes it is how you was them. I have some really cheap diapers and flats that hold a bit of pee. But I have my wash routine down. You also have to be sure to properly prep them before use. It is a bit of work, but it saves a lot of money. If you have any questions, please contact me. You can find my email in the About section of my blog. I would be happy to assist.
