Momo Baby Soft Sole Shoes Review

I wanted to reach out to Momo Baby because of the soft sole baby shoes that they carry. As part of our Mama Love event that is happening June 12 - 24, Momo Baby sent me a gorgeous pair of soft sole baby shoes to try with. Aria is getting big, and will be walking very soon. She needed some shoes, of course.

These are the Momo Baby Soft Sole Baby Shoes in Lady Bug.  For the review, I chose the  0-6 month size. What is important to remember is all babies grow at different paces. Usually my kids feet grow slower. I also believe that theses can run a tad large, so keep that in mind. Aria is 9 months but still has room in these adorable little shoes. Which is great because not only is she crawling, and walking around in her walker.. she is now pulling herself up onto her knees and even feet!! Much faster pace than my other two that is for sure.

You do need a good pair of shoes for early walking days. Some soft sole shoes just are not good for that because they slip. The bottom of these are a suede material so it grips really well. Think of those "grippy socks".

Along with the style I chose, there are many, many more styles for both girls, and BOYS!

These shoes are made of soft and breathable leather and they have a no-slip, suede bottom for early to late walkers. They are just so adorable too!

The elastic band makes them easy to put on and STAY on! I usually have problems with shoes around this time because babies don't stay in socks and shoes. Not with these babies! She can't get them off, and they don't fall off. Yet she has room to grow. It's a win-win for everyone. What is more, they are so stinkin' cute!

She didn't even care that she had shoes on after a while.

Features:

  • Uppers are made from ventilated, soft premium grade leather. They provide a breathable space that keeps your baby's feet cool and dry.
  • Elastic ankle ensures the shoe stays on the foot.
  • Non-slip soft suede leather sole prevents any unexpected slips.
  • Spot clean with a damp cloth and mild detergent.

Momo Baby also carries a large variety of other items. From maternity, feeding items, shoes, and bedding!! Definitely worth a look.

Make sure you take the time to visit Momo Baby. These shoes are only $19!

Stay tuned for our giveaway as well!! There will be some great items up for grabs for mom and baby!

Luvs Night Lock Diapers Review and #giveaway

This review was made possible by Double Duty Divas and Luvs. I was provided the featured product free of charge to facilitate my review, but all opinions are 100% mine

Recently we had the opportunity to review the Luvs brand disposable diapers. Normally we use only cloth but Luvs is a brand I never thought to use in the past. I figured since they were cheaper that meant they didn't work well. However, the NEW NightLock diapers are totally different! They work wonders!
Granted other known brands can hold a bit more, these work great for nighttime. We also used them on long car rides with no problem or leaks. They are also incredibly soft.
Aria fit into them perfectly and she is 19 lbs. The size three works for a great range of sizes.

Luvs with Night Lock isn't available on retailer shelves nationwide until September 16th. I am super happy to be able to share this exclusive sneak peak with all of you!

Luvs with NightLock offers the ultimate in overnight protection for baby AND a good night ahead for Mom with:

  • More Absorbency over Huggies Snug & Dry.
  • Less Leaks.
  • Leak Barrier Leg Gathers to keep leaks away. Keeping the mess inside.
  • TWO adorable monkey designs.
  • The Lus Money Back Guarantee! You can't go wrong.
Plus, beginning September 16, 2013, to coincide with Luvs with Night Lock appearing on shelves, for the first time EVER, Luvs will be offering print-at-home coupons Luvs.com.

September 16th will also see Luvs releasing a new series of our beloved "First Kid/Second Kid" commercials on their YouTube page. Who else loves those commercials? The breastfeeding mom one is my favorite. Totally true! And I have three kids, so what does that mean? haha

Responsible Mother ~ Bamboo velour pocket Diaper Review

I received a pocket diaper from Responsible Mother to Review.

Like many of the products that you will find on Responsible Mothers website, this diaper is very well made. As well as squishy. I do believe that Aria agrees. It is on her bum, after all.

The super cute sheep print was a hit with my older kids too. It is upside down, but most fabrics do that.

Here is a back view of the Diaper. With the fluffy sheep.

This is a sized diaper. So you need to take care in buying the correct size for you little one. I did find that they have a lot of stretch to them. The average child can get away with the Small up to 19 lbs. At least that is our case. Aria is 18 lbs, and I can still see this fitting her a few more months. The Leg elastic just has so much stretch to it.

As you can see in the below picture, the front rise is not that high. -Keep in mind I have an insert and doubler inside. The snaps do not over lap, so thinner babies may have a problem.

Once she is sitting up her belly overlaps it anyway. My chunky belly.

Oh well, even if she can't sit still, I can tell she loves the camera!

The wings have three snaps each. There is a row of six snaps on the front panel.

The pocket opens up extremely wide! Which is not a common occurrence in a lot of the diapers I own. On the other hand, the diaper is pretty narrow. I love the velour on the inside! Bamboo is amazing against the skin. It is super soft and absorbent.

These diapers do require a cover. You can purchase wool covers at the Responsible mother shop. Check out my past review on her snap on cover! It is a great choice!

Materials:
Outer layer – 100% cotton, inner – 70% bamboo, 28% environmentally-friendly  cotton, 2% polyester.

Responsible Mother ~ Wool Diaper Cover Review

I was sent a wool diaper cover to review from Responsible Mother. It is a sized snap cover that con be used over a pocket, fitted or even a flat diaper! It is made of 100 % super soft wool.

Wool covers are used as an outer layer for some types of cloth diapers. Most commonly, a flat, prefold or fitted diaper is used on the inside for absorbency, while the wool shorties are used as the outermost waterproof layer.

If you do not own any wool, now is the time to add some to your stash. If you are like me, and love fitteds you need a good cover. That is where wool comes in. As long as it isn't soiled, you can reuse wool for weeks without washing! Crazy right? That has to be my favorite part.

I love the fit of the Responsible Mother Diaper Cover! The wings have three snaps each. Allowing the diaper to not overlap. Making them a bit big for newborns.

Wool does a fabulous job of stopping leaks. Many families prefer wool for heavy wetters or for night time diapers. The wool gets its absorbency from the lanolin. Which does require a little extra care during washing to maintain its unique breathable, waterproof properties. The wool also needs to be treated with lanolin to help it stop diaper leaks.

A great add on to this diaper cover is their hemp inserts! I highly recommend them as boosters! Add them to your nighttime diaper routine for a leak free night!
Made from 55% hemp and 45% environmentally-friendly cotton.

About Responsible Mother
We are a family growing two small children (3 year-old Dominykas and 1 year-old Matas). Over the first pregnancy we already knew and believed that we will bring up our children healthily. Ecology idea is very close to our way of living and we also think the person‘s lifestyle should not harm not only him but the environment as well. While incubating the ideas into what we are going to diaper, how we will feed our baby, we decided to use cloth diapers, to dress in natural fibre clothes (wool, silk, cotton), to use only environmentally-friendly  household, washing, cosmetic items, also wooden toys or sewn on mother‘s own. This is how „responsible mother“ was born.
Cloth diapers  for modern parents who think different! That was our slogan while in search for textile, modelling, and sewing products. In the beginning there were just small orders for acquaintance mothers, who wanted to grow their children healthily, but after receiving positive feedback and recommendations we started working at full length. We offer you cloth diapers  handmade with love and warmth in Lithuania.

Wool should only be hand washed and air dried flat. It WILL shrink or and be small enough to fit a newborn if you try to dry it in the dryer. Also do not use a clothes line. Just lay it flat. It does take over a day to dry after being washed. I think it usually takes up to 48 hours for us to dry wool.

If you do not cloth diaper, a wool cover is even a great accessory for disposables! They can keep your little ones tushy warm too!

You can find this diaper cover here, and in a variety of colors.

Yummi pouch review

I received the following products for free to review.

We love baby food pouches. Before i heard of reusable pouches we had used the disposable ones. Which are extremely wasteful, and cost way too much. One of the first brands of reusable pouches that I heard of was the Yummi Pouch! So of course, I was super excited to get the chance to review for them. They sent us the Little Munchkin set for review.

Which included some really cute stickers and a funnel pitcher!

As I have stated in the past, these are not the first food pouches I have used. These are however a bit different. The spout is actually on the side of these pouches. They also stand up when expanded. As well as fill through the top. Which is also a great feature. The yummi pouch is a product that gives you all of the convenience of the baby food pouches plus all the added benefits of being cost-effective, environmentally friendly, and healthier since you can fill them with your own, home-made purees.
Features

  • It is completely reusable, recyclable, and green.
  • Freezer and Dishwasher safe
  • BPA, Phthalate and PVC Free
  • It has an extra wide cap which makes it ideal for little hands.
  • It has a specially designed bottom that allows the pouch to stand up while you fill it.
  • Extra wide mouth for filling, and a reinforced zipper to keep it from opening!
  • It has a 6oz fill line which helps for portion control and leaves room for expanding in the freezer
  • It has clearly marked lines on the back where you can write the date and contents (which then wash off when you’re done!)
  • The spout is sturdy and will stand up to those teething, chewing babies!

The Yummi Pouch is easy to use and simple for small children. They do not require too much pressure to get the contents out. The plastic is also extremely durable. They are purely leak proof too! Yummi Pouch makes so many great accessories to use with the pouches, from color-coded caps to a special tool that makes filling them a breeze! Food pouches are super convenient too.

Yummi Pouch reusable food pouches encourage healthy snacks for active kids. Our eco-friendly food pouches are freezer safe, dishwasher safe, BPA-free, Phthalate-free, and can be filled with healthy blended snacks and easily taken on-the-go, no spoon required!
Our vision is to help moms and dads prepare healthy snacks for their active kids. Yummi Pouches are perfect to be filled with nutritious smoothies and purees prepared in batches, frozen or refrigerated, and easily consumed on-the-go. Yummi Pouches are ideal for moms who make homemade baby food, as well as kids who enjoy taking yogurt and applesauce to school.

It is also larger than many other food pouches.

You can use reusable pouches for several things. As well as for school lunches. They also make great water bottles!

The funnel pitcher does make filling these a breeze! I love this thing!

My daughter also had a lot of fun helping me put everything together, as well as stickers!

The Yummi Pouch retails for $14.99 for a pack of 6. Which divides out to  almost $2.50 a pouch!

We enjoyed using the Yummi Pouch, and I plan to use them to make delicious smoothies, and yogurt for my daughters school lunch. I can really see these lasting us for years! Yes, they are really that good!

What would you use your Yummi Pouches for?

Lily's Dreams Wool Diaper Cover Review

I received a free sample for review. All views are 100% my own.

Wool covers are used as an outer layer for some types of cloth diapers. Most commonly, a flat, prefold or fitted diaper is used on the inside for absorbency, while the wool shorties are used as the outermost waterproof layer. This makes a great night time solution for heavy wetters as well. Lily's Dreams makes some of the best wool covers, longies and shorties that I have seen.

Wool really does a fabulous job of stopping leaks. Many families prefer wool for heavy wetters or for night time diapers. The wool gets its absorbency from the lanolin. Which does require a little extra care during washing to maintain its unique breathable, waterproof properties. The wool also needs to be treated with lanolin to help it stop diaper leaks. Wool should only be hand washed and air dried flat. It WILL shrink or and be small enough to fit a newborn if you try to dry it in the dryer. Also do not use a clothes line. Just lay it flat. It does take over a day to dry after being washed. I think it usually takes up to 48 hours for us to dry.

If you do not own any wool, now is the time to add some to your stash. If you are like me, and love fitteds you need a good cover. That is where wool comes in. As long as it isn't soiled, you can reuse wool for weeks without washing! Crazy right? That has to be my favorite part.

I also love that the leg is a different contrasting color. It holds the legs very well too.

Wool can be expensive, so this definitely evens out that. You would only need 2 wool covers to get you through a day. Just air it out and your good to go. Let one dry while you use the other.

We do use flats, so wool covers are a must! I have come to really love fitted diapers as well. The stretch is great and they just don't compare to other diapers with PUL.

I love how these wool covers have a cute little design on the butt. I'm sure it can be used wither way of course.

There is also a sewn in soaker on the cover that gives it extra absorbancy.

Can you use a wool cover with disposable diapers?

  • Sure, why not? It's a cute add on for even moms that choose to use disposable diapers. Since Wool does not need to be washed after every use, it is the perfect fashion statement for everyday!
How many Wool covers do I need?
  • That depends on what is in your stash. You can get by with 1-2 wool covers in rotation easily. Since washing is super easy by hand. You would just need to use another cover while it dries. PUL covers are cheap and easy to find. You can even use fleece as a cover while your wool dries.

I'm already looking forward to the next Flats and Handwashing Challenge next year! Now that I know so much more about flats and diaper covers. Wool was my best friend during the challenge.

You can purchase many types of Wool Covers at Lily's Dreams, for a great price! Wool Covers like this one are around $19. Which is an excellent investment.
